CUSTOM PROPERTY ENHANCEMENT

This project took place over a parcel of roughly 600 acres. The landowner had a poorly managed timber stand that required an overall improvement thinning. This was done by the process of fuelwooding the majority of the timber stand which allowed for better spacing and soil usage. Over the next decade the improved timber stand will grow exponentially better than if the stand hadn’t had any timber harvested. This will also allow for ground forage to grow which will promote a better habitat for wildlife on the property. Along with the selective timber harvest we also built a road system stretching over two miles within the property, established 3 food plots for whitetail deer. Along with a ten acre pasture and a house lot.

CUSTOM FORESTRY MULCHING

  • Cleared the buffer of unwanted shrubs and trees for the Landowner to build a privacy fence, along with clearing an area so he can have a classic car lot in downtown Macon.

Pine Beetle Infestation Treatment

  • This timber stand had been infested by pine beetles. The solution for a pine beetle infestation is to correctly remove an adequate amount of trees in order to prevent any further spreading of the beetles.

Selective timber thinning

  • This was a selective thinning done in middle Georgia with the intention of creating optimal spacing within the pine and hardwood stand. The goal was to allow for a smooth and healthy transition from the forest in area near the front of the property to the area towards the back which is where the house lot was cleared.

Custom Property Enhancement

This Full Property Enhancement Took place over a beautiful canvas of 90 acres. This property had over 200 feet of elevation change, 30 acres of planted pine timber, and the beautiful Echeconeee creek running along its boundary. The first stage in this project was the selective harvest of timber throughout the property. The clear cut was completed in the planted pine areas, and the hardwood sections near the central portion of the property were send to increase the aesthetic view, and to leave superior Hardwood species. The second stage of this project was to build a Driveway of nearly 1,000 feet. With a built up portion that extends across a tributary to the Echeconee Creek. The third stage consisted of clearing a house lot along the ridge line will creating a view of the rapid inside the creek. Also, two food plots were constructed for Whitetail deer. The fourth stage consisted of planting a variety of erosion grass, and forages along the areas that were cleared. The fifth and final stage consisted of mulching and burning excess debris left behind from the Timber harvest and clearing project. (The entire project lasted 31 days, and was done at a net profit for the landowner)
